PT-141 (Bremelanotide) 10mg
A melanocortin-receptor agonist studied in central nervous system pathway research.
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a cyclic heptapeptide analog of alpha-MSH, and it exists because of an unplanned observation. Researchers at the University of Arizona working on melanotan-II — a melanocortin agonist developed as a tanning agent — noted effects in early testing that were unrelated to pigmentation. Bremelanotide was developed from that lead as a metabolite of melanotan-II.

A KISS1-derived peptide investigated in reproductive-axis signalling research.
Kisspeptin has one of the better naming stories in biochemistry. The parent gene KISS1 was identified in 1996 as a metastasis-suppressor in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the researchers named the product “kisspeptin” after Hershey’s Kisses. Its role as the upstream regulator of GnRH release was discovered separately and later, when loss-of-function mutations in its receptor GPR54 were found in patients with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. Kisspeptin-10 is the C-terminal decapeptide fragment that retains full receptor activity.
